DIY Summer

House of 34

Pinterest has been a fun and addictive place to get ideas and inspiration.  The problem with me is that I pin something awesome to my board, and I never see it again.  I’m collecting, not actually doing.

So I went through my DYI Ideas and Craft Ideas board and picked out some of the projects that I may actually try this summer.  Lords knows I need to keep myself busy or I will go coocoo.  Many of these projects are great gift ideas too.

I have so many un-used frames.  Spray painting them all one color would help unite them.

Tomás Alonso

We do not know who this young man is, but he has a Lego King Tut necklace and that makes him completely awesome.

We’d like to see elaborate Egyptian-themed Lego bling become the norm for all young superstars, and look forward to Willow Smith’s inevitable Lego Nefertiti headpiece.

Kronodesigners

Tomás Alonso is a Spanish designer who has subtle chic down to a tee. He lets his materials do the talking – as it says on his site:

He uses both wood and metal in a sober, soft and practical manner, skilfully inverting the usual way in which these two materials are perceived: wood is reduced to very slender, squared, vectorial sticks, iron is curved, warm and coloured.

Playful, highly functional and irresistibly simple, his work is perfectly encapsulates Kronospan’s Visionairre trend. Lovely stuff.
